Our CSR Philosophy is in line with our organizational objectives. We believe in an equitable society. We are striving to contribute to this cause by providing a platform for developing livelihood skills and education.

Skill Development

We partner with polytechnics, ITIs, National Skill Development Corporation Approved institutions and Bank sponsored RSETIs. These institutions have built adequate infrastructure and facilities to carry out the skill development activities. We facilitate our members and their families to avail livelihood skills and other training through these institutions. Further, on completion of the course, members are given an offer for placement in a reputed organization through network partners. Members are also motivated to be self-employed, wherein we help them in availing credit linkage through our partner Banks.

Nimala, a member of our Ondipudur JLG availed a loan of Rs. 30,000 from NOCPL. She also enrolled in our free 'Araca-leaf plate' making program. She now earns Rs. 15,000/- a month.

Selvaranjani, a member of our Ondipudur JLG, availed a loan of Rs.26,000/- from NOCPL. She also enrolled in our free 'Food and Snacks manufacturing' training program. She now earns a monthly income of Rs. 15,000/-

Pushpa availed a loan of Rs. 26,000/- from NOCPL and enrolled in our free 'Tailoring' training program. She has set up a huge shop in her locality and now earns Rs. 12,000/- per month.

Our students got a glipmse of the last annular solar eclipse of the decade! Our champs gathered at 8AM in awe and anticipation-and with the funky eclipse googles provided by Box Of Science, were able to witness the once-in-a-year occurance!

Our Kannicherrypudur students took a trip to the ATM. They learnt how to withdraw money, check account balance and also tried their hand at filling the bank challan!

Education - Nukkad Pathshala

For the benefit of our members' children, we have set up education centers in various towns and villages of Tamil Nadu called 'Nukkad Pathshala'. These Pathshalas seek to bring to every corner or 'nukkad' an unrivalled passion to learn. Nukkad Pathshala aims at delivering Basic English, mathematics and science knowledge to children of various age groups - ranging from five to fifteen. The objective of this initiative is to instill confidence and passion for knowledge. We hope to bring about an education revolution and aid people reach the stars with the help of experienced teachers and professors. Currently, 40 Nukkad Pathshala centers are operational across Tamil Nadu, with a strength of 56 teachers and 1350 students.

Health

We partner with recognized and reputed Hospitals to carry out general health check-up, eye check-up, dental and pediatric check-ups.

We conducted a General Health Camp in association with Meenkshi Hospital in Madurai. 160 members availed the free health-check up and were also given required medicines.

We conducted a health camp in partnership with Saveetha Multi-Speciality Hospital, in Sriperamputhur, Chennai. 110 members availed the free check-up.

Lalitha resides in Kurunjipaadi Meenachi Pettai, with her husband and 2 children. She has always wanted to become an entrepreneur, so she started selling fruits in an around her locality. She used to walk 15-20km daily, with her pushcart to make the sales- but was still failing to make ends meet. She availed a loan of Rs. 36,000/- from NOCPL, and set up a fruit shop on a street bustling with travelers. She now earns Rs.15,000/- a month and is living her childhood dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur!

Lakshmi lives in Cumbum, with her husband and 2 kids. The whole village is dependent on agriculture, but due to the high population, job opportunities are bleak. To overcome the lack of regular income, Lakshmi and her husband started supplying RO purified water cans across the locality. However, the business did not do very well as the locals were not used to drinking purified water. Lakshmi did not give up. She availed a loan of Rs. 36,000 and started her own soda manufacturing unit. She takes care of the manufacturing, and her husband helps in sales. They now make Rs. 20,000/- a month!

Vijayalakshmi lives with her husband and two kids. Although her husband was employed, they were finding it difficult to make ends meet. Around that time, she found out about the free tailoring training course organized by NOCPL in partnership with RSETI and enrolled for the same. She also availed a loan of Rs.30,000/- to set up her own tailoring unit. The enterprise was a huge success- she took up another loan to set up a garment manufacturing unit, and now employes women from her locality- financially empowering them as well!

Susila is a single mother, residing in Tuticorin with her two daughters. Her husband passed away when her children were young, and she was supported by her uncle- the sole breadwinner of the family. When her uncle fell sick- she knew it was time for her to take charge of her household finances. She took a loan of Rs. 30,000 from NOCPL and started a novelty shop at a prime location. She now earns Rs. 15,000/- a month and can take good care of her daughters and uncle.

Usha resides in Vadalur with her husband and son. She had a childhood dream of building a house of her own. To fund this dream, she availed a loan of Rs. 35,000/- from NOCPL and started manufacturing biodegradable Areca-nut plates. She now earns Rs. 12,000/- monthly and is diligently saving the money to construct her dream house!

Devika resides in Coimbatore, with her husband and son. Devika's son wished to pursue an engineering degree from a reputed college- which her financial situation could not afford. To help her son fulfill his dream, she availed a loan of Rs. 40,000/- from NOCPL and set up a jute bag manufacturing unit. Her business was a huge success- and she has been able to set up a boutique shop as well. She earns Rs.15,000/- a month, and has been successful in fulfilling her son's dream!

Priya resides in Coimbatore with her family. Her family was facing several financial difficulties and she decided to operate a bakery from her home. To fulfill the working capital needs, she availed a loan of Rs. 30,000/- from NOCPL. She now earns Rs 40,000/- a month and has been able to employ many individuals from her locality as well!

Alagu Meena, a member of our Cumbum SHG, availed a loan of Rs.36,000/- from NOCPL. She has a son in the 8th standard, and her husband is a bricklayer. Because of restricted job opportunities in her locality, she and her husband started a garlic distribution business.Her husband bought fresh garlic from the market, and Meena packed and distributed the garlic packets to nearby stores. They are now earning Rs.8,000/- per month. They have also been able to purchase a two-wheeler to help with the distribution. Alagu Meena is now a proud entrepreneur!
